Recorded in Aswan for the forthcoming compilation Mono Egypt. Mizmar is a woodwind two-reed instrument related to an oboe. Also known as zamr, it can be found in many regions of the Middle East and North Africa. Its Turkish counterpart is zurna, the Algerian one is rhaita.
